Xecil UI Privacy Policy

Xecil UI is a desktop application. Your work stays on your computer.

What stays on your computer

Design files, images, templates, your image library, crash-recovery copies and your settings (including your profile name, email and photo) are stored only on this computer. We do not upload them, and we cannot see them.

Backups

If you turn on backups, copies of your files are written to the folder you choose. If that folder is synced by Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or iCloud, that service uploads the copies under its own privacy policy. Xecil UI never receives your cloud account details.

Phone mirror

The phone mirror sends your prototype over your local network only, to devices that scan the QR code (which contains a one-time secret). Nothing is sent over the internet. Stopping the mirror closes the connection.

Importing websites

When you import from a website address, Xecil UI downloads that page to your computer to convert it. The website's own privacy policy applies to that request.

Importing from Figma

When you import a Figma file, Xecil UI sends the file link and your Figma personal access token directly from your computer to Figma's API, and downloads the file's images from Figma. The token is only kept on this computer, and only if you choose "Remember the token". Figma's privacy policy applies to those requests.

Bug reports and suggestions

Help > Report a bug opens your own email app with a message addressed to bugs@xecilhub.com, which you can read and change before sending. Nothing is sent unless you press Send. If you leave "Include app version and system details" ticked, the message lists the app version, your Windows version, screen size and license ID. It never includes your designs or files.

License activation

Activating your license sends the license key and an anonymous computer identifier to our license server, to prevent key sharing. We do not collect usage analytics or track how you use the app.
